Yes, dental X-rays are safe. They use minimal radiation and are essential for detecting hidden issues like cavities, bone loss, or impacted teeth that might not be visible during a standard exam.

A filling is used to repair minor tooth damage, such as cavities, while a crown is a cap that covers a tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength when more extensive damage occurs.

Maintaining good oral hygiene is key. Brush twice a day, floss daily, eat a balanced diet, and visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings.

Preventive Dentistry

Preventive dentistry focuses on maintaining oral health and preventing dental issues like cavities, gum disease, and enamel wear through regular care and check-ups.

These include brushing twice a day, cleaning daily the interdental spaces, using fluoride toothpaste, eating a healthy diet, and visiting the dentist regularly for cleanings and exams.

Most dentists recommend a check-up and cleaning every six months. However, your dentist may advise more frequent visits based on your oral health needs.

Fluoride treatments strengthen tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay. It’s a quick, painless procedure often done during routine dental visits.

Preventive dentistry protects children’s oral health through regular check-ups, sealants, fluoride treatments, and educating them on proper brushing and flossing techniques.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your teeth, gums, and smile. Treatments include teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers, dental aligners, and more to enhance your smile's aesthetics.

Yes, teeth whitening is a safe procedure if the treatments is prescribed by a dentist and carried out by a registered dental professional. In order to minimises the common risks and side effects which might occur in this type of treatments, the dentist will customise the treatment to your specific needs, keeping you under review for the entire duration of your treatment. We strongly advise against having this procedure done by non registered dental professional, using over-the-counter products or using teeth whitening substances from uncheckable, untraceable or with dubious origins.

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells placed over the front of your teeth to improve their appearance. They can address discolouration, chips, gaps, and misaligned teeth.

The longevity of cosmetic treatments varies. For example, teeth whitening results can last 6 months to 2 years, while veneers can last 10–15 years with proper care.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile and have healthy teeth and gums, you may be a good candidate. Your dentist will evaluate your oral health and discuss suitable options.

Restorative dentistry focuses on rebuilding and restoring teeth and oral structures affected by damage, decay, or loss, improving function and aesthetics.

It includes procedures like crowns, bridges, dental implants, fillings, dentures, and root canal therapy to restore oral health and structure.

Anyone experiencing broken, decayed, or missing teeth or seeking to improve oral functionality and prevent further complications may benefit from restorative dentistry.

Dentists use advanced techniques and anaesthetics to ensure minimal discomfort during treatments, making procedures as painless as possible.

The duration depends on the complexity of the procedure. Simple fillings may take one visit, while treatments like implants may require multiple visits over several months.
